This bit of delight arrived from the prosecutor’s office a day or two after the trial.
I’m not going to beat up an office that saw a case through to its best outcome. But it really should have more than (what I imagine are) two form letters for post-case synopses. Letter 3 could be kind of celebratory, actually, with wording along these lines: “Fewer than 1% of felony cases go the not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity route, and of them, the finding sticks only 25% of the time. Ta-da!”
